But there is a catch: Microsoft's OpenGL implementation hasn't been updated since OpenGL 1.1, and to use functionality from later versions OpenGL, you need to use OpenGL-extensions. Install a driver providing OpenGL 2.0 or higher, or, if this is not possible, make sure the ANGLE Open GL ES 2.0 emulation libraries (libEGL.dll, libGLESv2.dll and d3dcompiler.dll) are available in the application executable’s directory or in a location listed in PATH. If you have more information or can confirm it still happens in the latest git builds, please reply to this issue and it'll be reopened. It's hard to tell when fixes in PPSSPP might fix other games, and sometimes certain settings or cheats may cause bugs that can't be fixed. In the event that does not work, you will need to downgrade your PPSSPP Emulator to an older version that does not require OpenGL 2.0 compliance. I love the emulator so if anyone else have the same issue they might just try an older version or use the RetroArch core.If, after confirming that your graphics card is OpenGL 2.0 compliant, you are still experiencing this problem, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the graphics drivers. I downloaded a slightly older version of PPSSPP: v1.7.1-252 and that one works just fine, exept for the "more settings"-option that crashes the program.
However I have a temporary solution which worked for me: I have the latest Nvidia graphics drivers installed & all the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables installed. However the RetroArch core DOES work (thankfully)!Īll my games & emulators are on a 2TB HDD (windows on a separate SSD). Same thing happens for me I bought the Gold version for Windows & unzipped it in a separate folder.
